S02E00 - Introduction (Cleaned transcript)

IHello again and Thank you for tuning in to the second season of “The Supply Chain Dialogues” podcast. I am your host Daniel Helmig, seasoned supply chain professional and recovering change junkie for more years than I care to remember.

Since we are in the second season I will no longer bore you with my background. For those new to the podcast and wanting to know, whether I have any clue what we will be talking about here, check out my linkedIn page or read the about page on my website helmigadvisory.com. And then decide yourself.

So, second season already, and based on the comments and suggestions from you, our listeners, we go to the next level.

In season 1, our focus was on linking each episode of the podcast loosely with a service that we offer. We both first did a cliff notes version in our blog “Closing the Gap”, and then followed up with the podcast a few weeks later.

Based on your feedback, we now put the blog on hold, and just focus on the podcast for now, which got a lot of traction in the first part of the year. We will publish the script on the website for those who like to re-read what has been said.

In season 2 we will continue with the dialogue format of questions and answers, but instead of just having AImee and me talk, we as well will have guests from business and academia. Topics will be gravitating around hands-on solutions in the areas of greenhouse gas emission reduction, supply chain, and from time to time tips for staying sane, healthy, and becoming successful in todays corporate life. [Note: in the season we as well use categorisation along the triple bottom line: People, Profit, Planet].

The episodes will be marked in the title accordingly, so you have episodes that have GHG in the title, supply chain, or Hacks.

We do the podcast because it is a lot of fun, but at the end clearly for you, our listeners.

If you have suggestions on topics you like to have covered, ideas to improve the show, or simply have a question, feel free to write an e-mail or record a message and send it to us at Dialogues@helmigadvisory.com. We read every email and listen to every audio file,

If you like what you are hearing, please tell a friend. And if they do not know how to subscribe in Apple, Spotify and all other major podcast platforms, offer them a hand.

So, without further ado, let’s get into the weekly groove again.
