Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) - simply human

Nine questions to define the Gap

Can you (or your delegate) answer most questions/statements with a strong 'yes'?

  1. We are aware of the regulatory diversity and inclusion (D&I) sourcing requirements in the countries where we sell our products and act accordingly.

  2. We communicate the level of D&I sourcing to our shareholders and customers, particularly government entities.

  3. We have set targets and regularly measure the current status and trends of D&I sourcing over the years.

  4. Our track record is consistently improving and reported on a quarterly basis both internally and externally in procurement.

  5. We are able to differentiate in our reporting, sourcing from diverse companies owned by individuals of different races, genders, and other criteria that are relevant to us or required by regulations.

  6. Beyond regulatory reporting requirements, we have calibrated our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives against the 17 UN Global Goals set in 2015, and have allocated appropriate resources and projects to support these objectives.

  7. We do not prioritize economies of skill or scale when identifying D&I suppliers, and we recognize that D&I requires a hands-on approach by business units, functions, and procurement.

  8. We actively promote D&I suppliers internally and regularly feature them in our internal company media.

  9. We are active members of D&I associations such as NMSDC, WBENC, NAWBO, and WEConnect.

If you answered ‘yes’ to most questions, great!

You are a leader in Diversity & Inclusion in the supply chain (and probably everywhere else as well)!

If you answered ‘no’ or were unsure, you might have a gap - an excellent opportunity to improve your triple-bottom-line.

Feel free to get in contact for an exploratory dialogue with the helmig advisory AG to assess the art of the possible.
